We here at Flagship One are all about car engine computers, control modules of all sorts, like for brakes, transmissions, fuel injection, and of course the engine itself as mentioned — Ford, Chrysler, GM, Mazda, all makes and models…even a full complement of Tesla Motors parts one fine day, too!
Speaking of the hi-tech: how about that graphene in car engines; wow, have you heard? It’s basically the next transistor, something that will transform the world, how we live and get things done — graphene’s that incredible “what-the??” man-made material blending science-fiction visions with science-fact applications, bearing all kinds of extraordinary properties which really smart folks have been hard at work investigating for various potential uses in the decade-plus since it was first accidentally invented (a bit like how Goodyear finally managed to produce stabilized rubber)…where automobiles are concerned, two of the most interesting potential applications concern engines and fuel cells. The first involves increased fuel efficiency, while the latter better hydrogen storage, ultimately making possible 100% clean car exhausts — yeah, really, a full, exact, 100% clean emission. Imagine the engine computer programming for that!
Better fuel efficiency through graphene has been suggested in the lab but scaling to macroscopic sizes — and being able to actually manufacture any designs — is another matter, of course. Still, it’s arguable that as technology improves, the current number of ~70% lost to heat and not actually powering the car is sure to get better, and graphene looks to be a part of any such progress. As for hydrogen fuel cells, the problem has always been one of storage (well, procurement remains costly on many levels) but here too recent graphene research seems promising: graphene “shields” for more battery-like cells, which constructs facilitate the absorption and storage of hydrogen, acting like a sponge while simultaneously being a shield against larger molecules of oxygen and other unwanted contaminants.
To be sure, we’re just at the beginning of all these wonderful developments. But it’s now really a question of when, and no longer one of if, and that’s what’s so exciting! And you can bet dollars to wing nuts that no matter the technology, Flagship One will be around to provide all the necessary computer control modules you need at the deeply discounted prices you want!
